Captain Barefoot’s Naturist Guide has been online in one form or another since 1996. The Wiki section of the site worked well for some years as a useful and well-used resource for the naturist community. The Captain has received numerous reports about how it has helped many people take their first steps into naturism, as well as to help preserve the naturist character of many Greek island beaches. However, there is no hiding the fact that the main site contains a lot of information that is badly out of date. What is more, the Wikidot platform is (arguably) on life support and is no longer stable. Nonetheless, members of the site continue to contribute to it, and I am hugely grateful - but it badly needs an overhaul. The Captain has agreed transfer of the site to an active naturist who is keen to take over, and who has ambitious plans for its future. Readers can expect the barefoot.info and the capnbarefoot.info brands to continue, albeit taking a more modern approach, while maintaining and updating the content. Although there will be ways for readers to contribute to the site, the Wiki will be taken offline. And the Barefoot Forum - now little used - will be closed. The timetable for these changes has yet to be determined but The Captain expects it to happen in the coming months. More announcements will follow.I’m not leaving the scene, however: I’ve been a volunteer within British Naturism and the International Naturist Federation, and that is where my focus continues to be.Before I pass on the Captain’s uniform to the new owner I would like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who has supported and contributed to the site over some 28 years. It’s been a tremendous project to be part of: a labour of love for me, and one which I hope has been helpful to you.The CaptainSeptember 2024

Hi. My name is Andy and I have taken over ownership of this website. Please bear with me whilst I work on the redesign. Once that is sorted I will start to move across the content from here and open it up for viewing & reporting as before. If you have any questions about this new website, and want to stay updated about the changes just drop me an email at info@barefoot.holiday (note the slightly different web address) and I will put you on to the Newsletter. Please ask to be put onto the Newsletter in the email message (GDPR) and provide your first name (surname optional). If you have any suggestions for new features, again drop me a line. If you have any recent beach reports that you were planning on adding to the website, but haven't done so please do email then through to me on the same email address and I will add those too. Photograph attachments welcome subject to the same rules as the current website. Please make clear which location & which beach you are referring to! UPDATE: The new, updated website is now under constriction and can be previewed here. Feel free to have a look around!AndySeptember 2024
