cap’n barefoot’s naturist guide
This page aims to help combat this by encouraging everyone, of whatever age or gender, to look at their
bodies without clothes, enjoy them and be proud of them.
#loveyourbody
Did you know that national organisations exist to promote naturism, and they organise events and
activities which you can enjoy without clothes? In the UK, the national body is British Naturism. Visit their
web site to learn more. Read about the health and body-positivity benefits of spending time naked here.
Taking part in naturist activities can help make us significantly more satisfied with our bodies and lives, new
research from Goldsmiths, University of London has found.
*The law in Scotland is different to that in England and Wales. Throughout the UK it is not well understood, and what constitutes
“intending to cause alarm and distress” could be open to interpretation. The best advice it to use your common sense.
Love your body
This page is about body confidence.
Body confidence issues have become a serious problem in many countries, including the UK, especially among young people. They
lead to health problems (mental and physical) including eating disorders, reduced social participation, unsafe sex and substance
abuse. One contributing factor is acquired attitudes — media-driven, idealised images of the perfect body, and the idea that we
should be ashamed of our bodies.
